James Minson
James has earned his Doctorate in psychology with a specialisation in Health Psychology. He also has a Masters in mental health counselling and art therapy. James has worked in various settings over the years, practising and working with a diverse clientele group. James will work with adults, older adults, veterans and adolescents 18+.
James will be offering assessment and treatment for a range of psychological concerns, including:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Anger management
• Communication
• Grief and Loss
• Life transitional adjustments
• Transition
• Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Trauma
• Co-morbid Substance use
• Plus many other presenting issues and Psychometric testing such as the WAIS
Modalities of therapy: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment Therapy, Positive Psychology (PP), Interpersonal Therapy (IP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-informed and strengths-based therapy, Mindfulness-based approaches, and Motivational Interviewing.
